Although resilience building equips us to succeed generally, this section expands the innate strengths of resilience and applies them specifically to:

  • Active coping, which is the opposite of avoidance and passively waiting for things to improve
  • Building confidence. Confidence is a gift that permits us to thrive; it must be realistic and based on preparation and experience. How imagery can help.
  • Flexibility and Creativity. Flexibility is being open to trying new approaches when old ways are not working. Creativity reveals new possibilities.
